The ‘hardware’ trend evolves into something more sinister as brands rake over the remnants of the (once) shady subculture of sado-masochism to find new footwear influences.
Extremes are still in play with exaggerated platforms, studs, spikes, wet leathers and naked foreparts (Versace) and they should keep the foot fetishists salivating *shudder*

now, admittedly, i'm into the whole studs thing for shoes (yesterday i wore my diy pair and my sister referred to me as mistress julie for the rest of the day) but many of these are just too extreme. i assume they're meant as art, and i can appreciate that, as long as i'm not meant to attempt walking in them. but of course, there are others in the line-up that i would put on immediately, had i simply the cash to pony up for a pair or two :(

So, a friend of mine took a serious spill off some heels a couple days ago, and has since declared that that heels are too dangerous. I will make sure she stays away from this post!
