I'D RATHER BE NAKED IN FUR!

Fur is an observation rather than a full-blown trend. Since profiling Camilla Skovgaard (HERE) and her ‘hair raising’ human hair sandal and boot, Imelda’s been ‘Alert Bert’ for other designers who may have taken inspiration from Camilla’s ground breaking collection. Not all of these styles are trimmed with Yum Yum’s off-cuts, the majority are (gasp, clutch your pearls) mink or lapin! Whilst most find the use of fur abhorrent, what of human hair?

OMG it's kind of weird that I feel like straighten out some of those shoes LOL.
But there's some ones I think they're nice, others I'll have to know better what I feel about them.

Hope you'll having a great time in the weekend, I'm having lots of fun with Sis and goddaughter ;)

Love darling

Fur is brilliant—as long as it's fake. Love the hat and numbers 3 and 5!

Seeker - LOL...I want to plait them...lol. I'm so pleased to read that your having such a fab time. xxxx

Enc - You've chosen the mink trimmed numbers... MURDERER!!!

I prefer to wear monkey fur boots.

Fur, for me, only fake...

a kiss

I don't care how wrong it is; I LOVE fur! Especially all the beautiful Gaultier stuff. Great post, Matty old chap!

LC - I find monkey fur to corse foe couture.

K - word

CC - Yes JPG, is having a massive love affair with fur!

Do you recall the final collection that Chris did on the last season of Project Runway? All trimmed with human hair, it had the judges shuddering. From a purely aesthetic viewpoint I actually prefer the hair. It could be horse or human, it really doesn't matter. It has a nice fluidity to it. Besides which, I think it would make me a hypocrite if I would wear fur and not human hair.

Ewww, 8, 9 and 12 are creepy! They remind me of Cousin Itt!

There is something very sophisticated about fur, the erstwhile boas added class and the very today versions add some naughty spice to the look and the ensemble. It may leave you feeling guilty, but it definitely makes you pray for eco-friendly faux fur!

SKM - apparently, horse/faux hair doesn't fall the same way as human hair.

MW - not the type of shoes you'd wear for a trip to the countryside!

Somya - true!

Honestly, it gives me the creeps. I just can't imagine wearing it!

Sigh. As a biology student and ardent lover of animals, I know I should boycott ... but I truly do love fur. I'll take one of each numbers 1 through 8, please. Send to Sal, care of Hypocrites Anonymous.

It's so strange that these make me cringe a little. I've always had a strange aversion to fur (real and faux). I don't see myself warming up to human hair either :)

P - there's lot's gauche women who'd disagree.

Sal - I've booked you in for your first HA meeting...enjoy.

P - I'll take that as a 'NO DEAL'

i'm not really feeling the ones with short puffs of neatly trimmed hair. i'm all for the over grown hairs though!

Ah, no, human hair? eek! Freaks me out for some reason. Yet I love leather, so there's some conflict going on! I'd buy leather shoes in a heartbeat, but I'd have to really love the fur or hair ones, and I'm just not liking these...

for diy-ers: i once left a pair of loafers out in the rain and i achieved a similar furry effect from the green fungus.

xoxo some more shoes for my gorilla halloween costume! :)
