BOOTIE-LICIOUS
It’s still Friday
(somewhere) so I haven’t missed the trend forecast, what I have missed in my
post Obama celebration is days of posting and exciting news. Unfortunately,
last Friday Imelda, Yum Yum, Chef and Driver were abruptly asked to vacate the
‘Compound’ - in 30 days! The impertinent owners decided that 8 weeks before Xmas
they would sell Imelda’s shanty, forcing me to spend day and night pounding the
pavement in search of new lodgings suitable for a former First Lady – you don’t
come across a sound proof torture chamber every day!
Even with an open toe
Imelda’s still not sold on the trend of wearing boots during summer. There are
those slavish fashion devotees who’ll brave the scorching heat and tinea,
however Imelda predicts this won’t be a trend sweeping through the suburbs
anytime soon(ish).

Sweaty feet is not a good look, Imelda. Especially in the jungle climates that you're used to.

Oh Imelda! My darling! How terrible for you. I'm in a similar situation. The bastard Smaggles sold our house out from underneath me and I must vacate by next week!!! Sigh!

Wow. Very inconvenient. I know you will find something compound beautiful.

You know, I love each and every one of these boots but nothing, not even the promise of a trip to the moon, a designer-infested wardrobe or a cute mod boy at my disposal, will make me wear boots in summer.

Mmmmmm, slouchy goodness.
I can't see people wearing boots in summer, but I guess if the mags are selling it, someone's buying it, eh?
Have Imelda et al found new digs yet?

I live on the Gold Coast and the heat is has been so crazy these past few days and its only the beginning of the aus humidity. I honestly could not think of anything worst then having my feet sweat in boots. the number 19's are amazing, and the only one's i would be a fashion slave for, AND ONLY IF THERE WAS A BREEZE.
Im currently putting together an aus link list, and would love to exchange links. :) let me know darling.x

The colourful Marc by MJ (9) shout out to me, they look fantastic! The Alexander Mcqueens (33) creep me out a bit, looks like she has a skin condition...

Oh I'm caving in on the YSL numbers - they are the ones for me! Now on the house front can't you claim diplomatic ammunity or decleare a state!

wait a sec. i was distracted by shoes and didn't read the whole entry! vacate? what Imelda obviously needs is a castle.

Shoes in australian summer is wrong, Boots in australian summer is just broken and fashion victimy. bler. But I do love number 24, for some reason.
Please don't post anymore of those plastic bag things though.
Immie; use the force to get a new flat? Surely you have a reader who knows of a rent controlled loft in Surry-Hurst that could do with Imelda-Mike and your love?
xx

wahhhhhhhhhhh, why must it be coming into summer, whyyyy. I'm not ready to stop wearing my boots yet and these little beauties reinforce that notion. Sigh, non thong shopping is in order.

ARGH I think I've been blinded by the hideous design of revamped ugg boots. What was Vivienne Westwood thinking? Looks like she ripped of a fluorescent workie vest from some poor studs sweaty back and strapped it around some unfortunate girls ankle using packaging straps. Vile!
What's with the 'hue' of the season or rather lack of? Bob Downe maybe getting his beige velour knickers in a not OVER the abundance of beige and earthy tones but the rest of us.........ARGH

well number 16 offers a good option to those who are in need of a boot for summer.
