What?
It’s true…besides, Julia and Julia is a freakish cyber anomaly.
After MONTHS of planning, the Despotic Queen can FINALLY reveal that come 27 October Imelda (and Imelda Matt) join the likes of The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, Garance Dore and (mah third world homegurrl) Bryan Boy by becoming the first Australian blogger to mutate from the web into a window installation for a major Australian luxury retailer.

As
if turning the Despotic Queen’s low brow musings into a window installation
wasn’t enough of a challenge, the brave PR savvy folk from Jean Brown
have decided to convert their ENTIRE Emporium into an exhibition titled 'The Imeldific: 20th Century Shoe Design’…oh yes they
did.
Part of the installation will include the above artwork, which was photographed by Imelda's friend Kent Johnson.
Y’all
know it’s not Imelda’s MO to get her ‘meme-on’ but when I think of the enormity
of the honour my pins get a little shaky. I’d be lying if I said this was
something I’d expect to happen to moi, especially when you consider the tone of
my blog.
I’d
also be lying if I said I thought any Australian retailer would reach out and
collaborate with a blogger (temperamental or otherwise) on such a high profile
and costly venture.
OK…so
