Glad you are back number 5!

I get so intensely aggravated with knock-offs as they rip away design space and opportunity from real up-and-comers who actually have talent.
Aside from shoes, no offense to YRH, bags seem to be the biggest victims lately of shit-poor imitation.
Shut'em down with the power of shame I say, so I hope that when I google Bianco soon that the message is clearly out there.

You look fabulous on the TV screen! And this is ridiculous, what's next, fake shoe selling on the streets? What country well-policies the knockoff industry, and how do they do it? We have a big fake vendor problem here in Manhattan, and the city government doesn't seem to care much about it.

You can really see the difference in quality!

brooks addiction

they look like a copycat...design piracy is quite interesting.

kate - lol...number 5? I wanna know who I need to knobble to get to number 1!

nadine - bags have long been a major problem and what disgusts me is how both bag and footwear high st retailers / wholesalers are going after independent designers.

FH - Australian authorities certainly doesn't police the problem and why would they when the law basically endorses the practice!

MC - can't you just!

Brooks - yes they're major 'copycats'

Shoegurl - Mama's totes pissed!

baby crib - huh?

JJ - oh fark noes!

Our esteemed NY senator Chuck Schumer has just introduced a bill that might have a chance, but it protects very limited intellectual property to the most original design: http://tinyurl.com/2vkw6s3

Which, for many of Skovgaard's designs, may just hold true in the US.

Everyone, why do we need to fight about shoes and their designs? There is so much swearing on this blog it's not a refreshing look at fashion it's more of a blog that makes you feel bad about yourself. We are all women and we love shoes. Some of us can buy expensive footwear and unfortunately I'm not one of those people, and some of us can't. Let's just know that the one thing we all have in common is that at the end of the day, we're all going in the same box. So let's enjoy life and stop bagging out people and for crying out loud, SHOES. There are people dying in the world - who cares if someone copied a designer, I wish we were this passionate about 3rd world children living and dying in poverty before they can become adults. Geez.

Amused

Imelda. I can imagine you have the most irritating voice just by reading this little post. Calm down sweetheart. There's more to life than giving yourself a stroke over knock off shoes. Take a deep breath and build a bridge. It's childish fools like yourself who spoil fashion, so perhaps it's time you took a valium and had a lie down.

Fashion Herald - couldn't have said it better myself.

kaye

Beautiful lovely shoes
